Make this promise to yourself: You will never ever see anyone's weakness or defect. You will not listen to or speak of anyone's weaknesses or defects. 

You will not listen to them, you will not speak of them, you will not see them. So, what will this year become?

 The year of having good wishes and of being an embodiment of virtues

God is praised as the Highest on High. His name is the highest; His place of residence is the highest. It is mentioned in the Granth too that the name of God is the highest and that His abode is also the highest. भगवान को सबसे ऊँचा कहा जाता है। उनका नाम सबसे ऊँचा है, उनका निवास स्थान सबसे ऊँचा है। ग्रंथ में भी लिखा है कि भगवान का नाम सबसे ऊँचा है और उनका निवास स्थान भी सबसे ऊँचा है।

Vedas are not religious scriptures. They are called scriptures, but not religious scriptures. There has to be some benefit in religious scriptures. A scripture is something with which a religion is established by someone. To which religion do the scriptures of the Vedas and Upanishads belong? Who established that religion? No religion has emerged from them.
